Our Process
What we do

MODS is a company specialized in converting shipping containers into highly custom spaces for our clients. The biggest use case for these are custom modular office spaces however there are many other uses that customized shipping containers are highly advantageous for such as pop-up shops, retail spaces, food stalls, marketing booths, storage facilities, construction offices, and specialized industrial fit-ups to mention just a few.

How to get a free quote
​
We make the process of customizing your unit simple staring with providing you with a free quote. When you are ready, please either call or fill out our contact form and one of our team members will be in touch with you shortly to get to know what kind of unit would suit your situation best. We will then provide you with a free quote within a couple of days.
We do our own designs
​
Once you decide to work with us, MODS will hash out the details of your custom unit completely in-house meaning that we don’t have to hire outside designers. This also means that there is no middle person in this process so the design cost and time saving will all be reflected in your lower cost to build. If your use case is highly complex, we offer even more detailed project designs and lifelike renderings and videos to provide as much granular information about your design needed to ensure that it will meet your specifications.

Fabrication
​
Most of the fabrication process takes place in our shop in Rotterdam New York. The shipping containers are first delivered to our shop where we do all the cutting, welding, framing and finishing. In many cases we can fully assemble the unit and ship it to the destination without having to do any additional assembly, however more complicated units do require assembly on site. Once we are done with the units we will deliver them anywhere in the continental United States.
